The TAASLP Foundation announces its Foundation Scholarship for 2008. If you are a current student member of TAASLP, click here to access the application form. Deadline for completion is July 1, 2008.

Articles are currently being accepted for the May 2008 edition of the TAASLP newsletter. Contact VP-Communications Bobbie Beckmann. Deadline is May 15. Are you holding special events and activities for May Better Hearing and Speech Month? Take pictures, write a short article, and share it with fellow TAASLP members in the next couple of newsletters!

We are working hard on the 2008 Convention, to be held October 9-11 at the Franklin Marriott/Cool Springs Convention Center. Check our new 2008 Convention Central Page for information on Convention as it is announced. Interested in exhibiting at Convention? Click here for our Exhibitor Application form.

TAASLP Members: I would like to encourage you to nominate a colleague for one of the following awards: Honors of the Association (nominee must be a speech-language pathologist or audiologist and a member of TAASLP), Distinguished Service Award (does not have to be a SLP or Aud but must have made a significant contribution to the professions), Public School Incentive Award (a speech-language pathologist or audiologist who works in the schools and is a member of TAASLP), and Lifetime Achievement Award (a speech-language pathologist or audiologist who has made a significant contribution over the life span and is a member of TAASLP).  These awards will be presented at the annual convention in October in Nashville.  Your participation in this nominating process is important and appreciated. Please me if you have any questions.  Marion Hammett, Member At Large
