Third-Party billing/Medicaid is processed through TennCare. The Special Education Department of each individual participating school district bills for Medicaid payment under the name and number of the SLPs holding their CCCs. TennCare has limited the number of children that one SLP is able to generate claims for payment. SLPs in the participating districts are encouraged to be knowledgeable about the billing practices for their district.
